Najsłynniejszy kawałek o tematyce militarnej: galop walkirii" z trzeciego aktu Walkirii" Wagnera. Wykorzystywany w wielu amerykańskich filmidłach o Wietnamie i inszej wojnie, znany też z kreskówek Disneya. W mitologii germańskiej walkirie zajmowały się ściąganiem trupów z pola bitwy i tę właśnie scenę przedstawia galop walkirii". W ogólności polecam Wam muzykę Wagnera, bo choć trudna w odbiorze, jest bardzo piękna i wstrząsająca. Osobiście najbardziej lubię Parsifala", Lohengrina" i cały cykl o pierścieniu Nibelungów.
