Former counterterrorism chief Joe Kent cites rare intelligence consensus on Iran

In interviews after his resignation, Kent said that all 18 U.S. intelligence agencies, including the Defense Intelligence Agency, assessed Iran had no capacity to develop a nuclear weapon. He described the interagency process to reach such agreement as laborious and intense, noting that it is uncommon for all agencies to align on an assessment. Kent also said his view matched that of the Director of National Intelligence and contrasted sharply with warnings from Israel about Iran's nuclear capabilities.
