Smutne wieści nadeszły z Holandii. Od czterech lat trwa remont niemieckiego niszczyciela czołgów Nashorn. Wykonano wiele pracy, zmontowano podwozie, przygotowano wiele rzeczy, ale ... Wczoraj był pożar, który ogarnął warsztat, w którym pojazd był przywracany.

Sunday we had to inform all of you about the huge disaster that struck us. We want to thank everyone for their heartwarming thoughts, calls, messages etc. and the offers of aid to out project, it has surely given us extra energy to carry on.

We are very happy to read about how many people want to contribute, and were hesitant about crowdfunding for donations for several reasons.

First of all…. We do not want to seem greedy… the tragedy which occurred is a major setback and had us struggling to carry on.. but our biggest struggle was emotional and not financial.

Secondly.. we are a group of friends who have a passion in restoring vehicles. For the last 25 years we have been bringing WW2 vehicles back to life and making them available again in museums all over the world for the people who love them. It’s important that you guys know it is not our intent to keep the Nashorn for ourselves for a long period. We intent to -as we have done with our other vehicles- restore it to its former glory and move on to another project.

But.. some of us had a talk with the insurance agency yesterday and due to the -till this point probable- cause of the fire (not originating from the vehicle itself), damage to the Nashorn is not insured. This means we have to raise quite some money to get the “Phoenix out of the ashes” as you guys already called it, and even though I am confident we could achieve this ourselves in time.. any help at this moment is more than welcome.
Next to that, we have read the incredibly heart-warming pleas some of you guys wrote, wanting to help in any way. So we do want to give the people that want to contribute a chance to do so.

Trzeci dzień wsparcia projektu ( stan 8150 € ) .

Na liście ofiarodawców znalazło się już wielu znanych w naszym środowisku osób. Rozpiętość wpłat waha się od 5  € - 3600  €. Miejmy nadzieje iż uda się zebrać oczekiwaną sumę.

Nie wygląda tragicznie (choć to może tylko takie wrażenie?), najbardziej chyba gumy na kołach oberwały, no i trochę się osmolił
