Witam, wczoraj na giełdzie zdobyłem taką o oto klamerkę, podniesioną ponoć z pobojowiska pod Janowem Lubelskim.

Hello, up for bid is a WW1 officers valise. These were used by officers for their personal kit, an extra uniform and under garments. A must for any proper US or British officer and a must for any officers display you might have. This was part of my officers uniform display. The carry bag is large and rolled up as seen in photo 1. There are three major parts to the kit. The travel uniform main frame with numerous pockets for personal items, the extra wrap for garments and a padded piece of sewn canvas. Not sure what it was for. See photo 12. The pockets and their snaps are in very good working order. The canvas is very strong. Its been on display for some time and before that was hardly used it seems. There is a large 4 on the front. Perhaps 4th Div. Not sure. The belt / strap is in very good shape and the buckle is marked with the anchor mark and is stamped ANCHOR BRAND, Pat. Jan 12, 04."

Valise" to torba na rzeczy osobiste i do spania. Zbyt duza jak na naramienna. Oficerowie zamawiali je prywatnie, to i klamry mogly by roznego pochodzenia, w tym i takowa.

równie dobrze mogła trafić z magazynów gdzie sobie leżała ze sprzętem z USA lub Anglii i nie tylko ,który w ramach pomocy lub zakupu i demobilu trafił po I w do naszego kraju często takie elementy tego sprzętu wychodzą na wrześniowych pozycjach :)
